April

Though newly established, the trio brings together a wealth of experience shaped at leading institutions including the Royal College of Music and Trinity Laban Conservatoire. Following acclaimed performances at festivals in London and Oxford, they are fast establishing a shared artistic voice, united by a passion for the rich and expressive piano trio repertoire.

Award winning conductor and vocalist Marta Mathea Radwan is joined by acclaimed jazz pianist Anita Lazińska and Australian bassist Mark Elton, whose international touring experience adds depth to the ensemble. For this special concert, Marta presents a captivating programme drawn from the American and Polish jazz songbooks, each piece reimagined with her signature style. Expect an elegant and heartfelt evening of refined arrangements, rich harmonies and timeless jazz.

An Evening with: Henry Blofeld
WEDNESDAY, 22ND APRIL

Join us for an evening in the company of Henry Blofeld, lovingly known as "Blowers", one of Britain's most beloved cricket commentators and storytellers. Over dinner, Henry will bring the golden age of cricket to life and share unforgettable anecdotes from the commentary box and tales of legendary players.

May

An Evening with: Julian Sturdy-Morton
Paris: A Modern History in Six Lives
WEDNESDAY, 6TH MAY

Whether through visits, books or films, we all know Paris in some way. This slide-rich talk considers how the City of Light has evolved by looking at the Parisian lives of six people who were not themselves Parisians: Chopin, Toulouse-Lautrec, George Orwell, Wing Commander Yeo-Thomas, Josephine Baker and Christo. They lived and worked in different parts of the City so that one may say that their paths (probably) never crossed but their footsteps did, and through their lives we can see Paris in a different light ourselves.

Recital: The Duo Eunoia
WEDNESDAY, 13TH MAY

Where classical meets contemporary, Duo Eunoia brings together violinist Inês Delgado and pianist Laura Casas Cambra, who met while studying at the Royal College of Music in London. United by a shared musical sensitivity, they have developed a close artistic partnership that highlights the expressive dialogue between violin and piano. The duo has appeared in projects including Wigmore Hall’s Wigmore Sessions, and their performances are known for their thoughtful interpretation and engaging chamber music style.

Tea & Talk: Caroline Shenton
National Treasures - Saving the nation’s art in WWII
THURSDAY, 21ST MAY

Caroline will explore the remarkable and often humorous story of how curators and custodians protected Britain’s national treasures during the Second World War. As war loomed in 1939, museum and gallery teams devised ingenious plans to move priceless collections to safety, from stately homes and castles to underground tunnels and mines. This talk will cover this extraordinary moment in history, when an unlikely group of individuals became the guardians of the nation’s cultural heritage.
