In Conversation with... Clara Izsak, Community & Events Manager
Q. Hi Clara, welcome to Auriens! Can you tell us a little about your background and what brought you here?
A: Thank you! I’m really pleased to be here. I started my career in hospitality, managing teams and creating welcoming environments, and have always loved organising events that bring people together. Before Auriens, I was Lifestyle and Activities Manager at Loveday Kensington.
Q: What was it about Auriens Chelsea that appealed to you most?
The sense of warmth and connection here is like nowhere else. Auriens has this wonderful balance – it’s elegant and refined but also deeply personal. Every event is thoughtfully crafted, and you can feel the joy and curiosity among residents and Friends of Auriens, who are an extension of the community where connections flourish through a curated calendar of recitals, talks, fine dining and more. I take pride in creating experiences that nuture a sense of belonging.
Q: So tell us, what else is there to look foward to next year?
A: 2026 is already shaping up to be a busy and enjoyable year at Auriens. We’ve built some strong cultural partnerships this year that we’ll be developing further. I’m particularly looking forward to welcoming pianist and storyteller Pavel Timofeyevsky with his series Five Stories & Five Cities, and new collaborations with Opera Prelude, who champion young operatic talent.
Our much-loved cheese and wine tastings with Jeroboams will continue, exploring regions from France and Italy to lesser-known producers with fascinating stories. Wellness Clinics will return too, with expert guests sharing practical insight on everything from nutrition and fitness to mental wellbeing.
We’ll also continue our popular programme of classical performances and Tea & Talk events, covering much-loved themes such as art, theatre, travel, food, film and literature. A number of acclaimed authors and guest speakers will be joining us throughout the year.
Q: Finally, what does community mean to you?
A: Community, to me, is about feeling at ease – knowing you’re supported, heard, and part of something that values you.
